Mango Lassi. Here is an Indian inspired smoothie that epitomizes summer treats. It is usually a yogurt-based drink, but my friend makes hers with buttermilk and sweetened kesar mango pulp. I like this alternative as it produces a thinner consistency rather than that of a thicker smoothie.
- 1 can Kesar mango pulp (or frozen mango)
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1/4 teaspoon ampchur powder (mango powder) (optional)
In a blender add in the mango pulp, sugar, salt, ampchur powder, and pour in enough buttermilk to the top of the blender. Close lid, and blend until well mixed. Serve immediately or refrigerate for later.
